(she/her/hers) Elissa is an actor, writer, amateur peanut butter enthusiast, and Texas native. Having recently had the pleasure of appearing in Classical’s production of R.U.R., Elissa is delighted to be joining the good people of Classical Theatre Company once more for To Be or RPG. Originally hailing from scenic Baytown, Texas, Elissa arrived in Houston in 2015 with nothing but a dream in her heart and a modest collection of root vegetables in her knapsack. While working towards her BFA at the University of Houston, Elissa became acquainted with the theaters around town and the many intrepid professionals that make up the heart of Houston’s theatre industry. She very quickly grew to love the community of artists she found herself surrounded by, and upon her graduation, that love, combined with a passion for film and comedy, led Elissa to begin writing and co-producing films with her peers. This led her to co-founding the all-female-led production company, Says Who? Productions. Her next project – Secret Lies of the Gossip Teen – will premiere its second episode in July and can be found on Says Who’s website. Some of Elissa’s interests include space, and eating things that haven’t been eaten yet. Finally, Elissa would like you to know that although flowers/ice cream sandwiches are welcome anytime, she is grateful simply to be taking this journey with you.
